Re: My Photos: Brandi
Sorry about the deer! Trish made me post it! LOL! That was actually the least offensive of all of them--just imagine! But I can remove it if I need to. I didn't mean to offend anyone with it.
Not in the freezer yet. Jason took it somewhere to be processed. I certainly wasn't messing with it! Yuck!

Yeah but the deer is cute right?

Re: My Photos: Brandi
I'm not offended at all - it's just not quite what I expect on a scrap board
And honestly, living where we are, not such a hunting family, the only dead animals we deal with we bury not eat (unless they are prepped at the store!)
The photo itself, while unexpected, was kind of intriguing. I don't think you need to take it down!!!

Re: My Photos: Brandi
It was the "big event" for that day. LOL! And apparently the biggest one shot in this district this year so Jason is supposed to get an award for it! LOL!

Re: My Photos: Brandi
yep.. I did ask for it! LOL!
While not a hunting family, I am intrigued by the whole event.. LOL! There are a lot of hunters in these parts.. and while I was in grad school my roomates fiance/now husband hunted and I have to say that venison stew was quite yummy in the winter months!
no need to take it down, imo! - great shot!

Re: My Photos: Brandi
I've had deer stew and it was sooo good.
That was years ago while in Aspen and Alex and I still talk about it.

Re: My Photos: Brandi
I have to tell this "hunting" story.
It was fall in GA and a group of us along with our major prof were heading to Hartsfield to catch a plane to a conference. Early morning. A lady was with us in the other car from China. Anyway, a truck drove by with a deer on the back (one of those platform things that you can get and put in your tow thingy and haul stuff like coolers, etc.). Deer was kind of big but not obnoxiously so. Anyway, we were in the car behind and you could see her jaw drop, then her head whip around like she wasn't sure she saw what she thought she saw, then her hands are just waving all around and she's jabbering about something. It was hilarious to see and I'm sure even more hilarious if you were actually in the car with her.

haha, was wondering that myself!
And you know, those reusable bags hold WAY more than the plastic ones!
Re: My Photos: Brandi
LOL! Just 3 + the alien in my belly! I only buy groceries about once a month (other than the basics--bread, milk, cokes, etc.). Once the baby is here I'll have to change that to smaller weekly trips unless Jason watches them so I can go shopping. There was barely room for Drew in the cart! LOL!
I do reuse all those plastic bags though. I save them and use them for everything around here--little trash bags, packing material in shipping boxes, poopy diapers, etc.

Drew is adorable and can't wait to see more photos of her. I love kids in jammies.
You can fit about 2-3 regular bags of grocery's into one re-usable grocery bag. Also, my grocery store gives me $.05 back per bag I use if the bag was purchased from their store AND if they ever break or what not you bring it in and they replace it for FREE. My bags have paid for themselves and are now paying me. The hardest part is remembering to bring them. Im still trying to make it a habit.

Re: My Photos: Brandi
I got one reusable bag from Safeway (green one for some promotion) during the summer and it's already got a hole in it. The best one is my large (or XL?) LL Bean tote. LOL!

Re: My Photos: Brandi
LOL! I love the .05 credit for my bags! They'll replace that holey one for you Shirley! One day Anna spilled milk on one of my bags and they gave me a new one just for that. My favorite is my PCC bag but it isn't as big as the others, it only holds about one bag's worth of groceries.
Okay, this is making me laugh - Poor Brandi's thread hijacked by all the reuseable grocery bag talk

Re: My Photos: Brandi
they will? I guess I'll have to go to the customer service counter and ask next week.
what's PCC?
I'm with Brandi though about finding uses for them - all the bathroom trash cans, diaper throw away bags when I'm out and about, etc.
